Over 5,000 FlorLIFTs Have Been Installed in Funeral Homes Throughout the US and Foreign Countries
INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING FLORLIFT
In your literature package, you will find FlorLIFT Field assembly Print Drawing. If followed properly, it will allow you to install the FlorLIFT quickly and with a minimum of trouble: Assembly time - 2 men, four hours.
NOTE: Try to have your electrician present about one hour after the men start installing the unit. Have him hook up one switch so that the men can raise and lower the platform carriage. Now run the platform up about two feet off the floor. Now slide the platform into position. Be sure that the leveling bolts have been installed in the platform. This will make the platform level. Now push the "Down" button until the carriage channels hit the uprights of the platform. Let chains slack. At this point, keep hands away from the frame. Use long pinch bars to move and guide the channels together. When the shoes are lined up properly, the channels will slide together. Push the "Down" button until the holes line up. Assemble with 1/2" x 1 3/4" bolts and lockwasher in top hole and 1/2" x 3 1/2": bolt and lockwasher in bottom hole.
Now a second check is to run lift down three feet and level platform again. If anything, platform must pitch to the back slightly - NEVER to the front. Now, run unit back up again and put level on cylinder. If cylinder is not level. To recheck level of cylinder if any paint is scraped off the cylinder, you can be sure cylinder is not level. Recheck cylinder level at this point so it is perfectly plumb.
NOTE: You have a left and a right lift arm. Study field assembly drawing and notice that the part with the rollers are both facing each other side the lift. See "H" on assembly print - lift arms fit to platform carriage by slipping the channels of the side lifts arms on the 3/4" x 1 1/2" flats which project up on either side of the platform carriage. The vertical cannel member of the lift arm assembly should be between the bracket and frame at the top of the intermediate sliding frame. Secure lift assemblies with four (4) 3/8" x 3/4" flat head socket screws.
NOW WITH THE UNIT PLUMB AND LEVEL, DRILL THROUGH LEG HOLE WITH CARBON DRILL AND LAG UNIT TO CONCRETE PIT BASE. NOW LAST - BUT MOST IMPORTANT - PICK UP CAN OF CUP GREASE AND WITH A PUTTY KNIFE, PUT GREASE ON FRONT OF LIFT ARMS. RAISE UNIT TO TOP LEVEL AND GREASE ALL CHANNELS THAT WHEELS RUN IN.
